2nd-4th July 2008
The plan for the 2008 event is to condense events to two days of racing, with social activities commencing on the evening of Wednesday 2nd July.
As with previous years, the regatta will be based out of the Royal Southampton Yacht Club at Ocean Village, Southampton, and racing will take place in the waters of the Solent.
The schedule is designed to minimise the impact on your work and private life, and in return to maximise the personal satisfaction of all involved.
Proposed summary programme
Wednesday 2nd July Evening:
- Crews arrive at the Royal Southampton Yacht Club for 7:30 pm
- Gourmet BBQ and Pimms reception
- Crew registration and briefing in preparation for any early start.
Thursday 3rd July all day
- Breakfast and weather briefing 7.15 - 8.15
- Leave the dock 8.30
- Two practice races designed to get crews working as a team 10-12 pm
- Lunch afloat 12-1pm
- 1 long race 1- 4.30pm
- Return to dock for 6pm
- Gala Dinner 7.30pm with guest speaker
Friday 4th July all day:
- Breakfast/briefing 7.15 - 8.15
- 3 short races to conclude by 4.30pm
- Return to dock for prize giving 6pm
- Depart 6:30pm
