Digiterre Floats 2006 Hedge Fund Sailing Regatta

Digiterre, a leading hedge fund technology consultancy announces the inaugural "Digiterre Hedge Fund Regatta" (www.hedgefundregatta.com). This exclusive event will take place over 6-8 July 2006 in the waters of the Solent near Southampton. It will provide an exciting team-building, networking and client hospitality event for everyone who works in or services the hedge fund community.
The event has been created at the behest of Digiterre's clients many of whom have participated in the company's previous annual sailing events. The regatta is attracting many keen sailors from within the Hedge Fund community and with the promise of exhilarating sailing on board high-spec racing yachts, competitors of all sailing abilities will be able to experience the excitement of safe, close-quarter racing under the leadership of a professional skipper and bow crew.
"I know of many keen sailors within the hedge fund community and can't wait to get involved" says Paul Dentskevich of HSH Nordbank. Dentskevich continues, "Given the opportunity we would love to win the regatta trophy, if only for the year-long bragging rights!"
For organisations who wish to charter yachts for the event, two race packages have been arranged. Firstly there is the "Grand Prix" Farr designed Coral 45 foot thoroughbred race yacht which can accommodate 10 participants plus three professional crew. The second package is the 40.7 foot Beneteau "Race" package which will provide very competitive sailing at a lower cost and can accommodate 8 participants plus two professional crew.
Owners of racing yachts are encouraged to participate in their own boats, while individuals and smaller teams can join one of Digiterre's "Mixed Team" yachts at an affordable cost per head. For people who prefer the comfort, stability and power of twin 1500 horse power engines, a 55 foot luxury motor yacht is also available for charter for Friday and Saturday from which to observe the racing ? gin and tonic in hand!
The associated programme of après-sail promises to make the event as much fun off the water as on it. Included within the event entry fees for all participants is a champagne reception and barbeque on the Thursday night together with a seat at the sponsor's dinner on the Friday night.
The racing will be run by the Royal Southampton Yacht Club and the après-sail events will be held at the Club's facilities.
